The Lead School’s  lower elementary classroom uses a literacy-based, student-centered curriculum that focuses on self-directed, experiential learning in a print-rich environment. As with all programs at The Lead School, the elementary classroom is trauma informed and focuses on building relationships and creating a safe space for students.  The Lead School follows Ross Greene’s philosophy, “Kids do well if they can,” and uses research-based, developmentally appropriate techniques to help guide students through their emotions and choose coping strategies that allow them to express their feelings in appropriate ways.
