The Lead School works with Pre-Employment Transition Services through The University of Missouri-Columbia with Dr. Laura Curran. Dr. Curran visits The Lead School monthly to work with students on job exploration, workplace readiness training, instruction in self-advocacy, and work-based learning experiences.

 

The Lead School works with Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) to help students get the transition services they need. Students work closely with a VR counselor to explore different careers, résumé  development, job coaching and on-the-job training with internships and other work experiences.  The VR counselor continues to provide support and services as students move along their career pathway and become successfully employed. All juniors have the opportunity to participate in this program and earn a half-credit as well.
