The Lead School is a year-round school because students with emotional disabilities and autism benefit from consistent learning and therapeutic opportunities with minimal interruption of services.

The summer sessions give teachers an opportunity to work on the skills gaps we see in students. It also gives all students opportunities to continuously practice skills that could be lost if they are not regularly addressed. Furthermore, it gives our high school students a chance to earn additional credits toward graduation.

Most importantly, the rhythm and predictability of a typical school day provides children with emotional disabilities and autism the structure they need to stay regulated.
